The exhibition will take place from March 24th to June 19th 2011 and has the aim to collect around the Rondanini Pity, located in the hall 15 of the Museum of the Castle, the last artistic and literary production of Michelangelo Buonarroti through the exhibition of 33 works of art. The exhibition path follows and illustrates the path which conducted the Master to his last masterpiece, ideal fulfillment of his exceptional artistic experience. Besides the Rondanini Pity a series of projects for Crucifixions and also some other drafts and original drawings besides those owned by the circle of the Master. There are indeed marble and bronze sculptures, paintings and the last rhymes of Michelangelo on sheets coming from the Vatican Library.
